Sacramento GEICO EnduroCross Track Map Revealed

Bryan Bosch

Exciting track planned for the next round

IRVIVE, CA – September 15, 2015 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – The GEICO AMA EnduroCross series has had a long summer break but will return to the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California on Saturday, September 26th. The home of the Sacramento Kings NBA team will look much different with the rocks, logs, sand and pond that make up the EnduroCross track.

As the track map reveals, the riders will be challenged right from the start with a huge log exiting the first turn before a tricky multiple log second turn leads them into the pond for the first time. A huge boulder field will greet them before the firewood pit, which typically proves to be one of the most unpredictable obstacles. Then it will be a “matrix”, which is a section of unevenly spaced logs that often send riders over the handlebars. The start straight will be the only break on the track before climbing the massive tractor tires and heading into an elevated rock section. And then they do it all over again for several laps.

EnduroCross is known for throwing all of the obstacles an off-road rider may find in a typical day of riding into a single lap. It often creates the most exciting racing you will ever see and features some of the most talented motorcycle riders in the world.

Cody Webb, Colton Haaker, Mike Brown, Taylor Robert, Cory Graffunder, Kyle Redmond, Max Gerston, Ty Tremaine, Geoff Aaron, Wild Wally Palmer, and Destry Abbott are joined by some of the young guns like Nick Thompson, Cooper Abbott and Noah Kepple looking to make their mark. Don’t miss the action as the riders start into the first of five remaining rounds to determine the 2015 GEICO AMA EnduroCross champion.
The 2015 GEICO AMA EnduroCross series will be back in action inside the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California on Saturday, September 26th.

If you have never been to an EnduroCross, you must get to an event in 2015. The exciting show and amazing skills on display will blow you away. Haven't seen anything about a live stream or post race highlights? Anybody got some insight, or is interest really that low? Seemed like a good crowd in AZ this past weekend

Looking for something awesome to do this weekend? After you're done riding, hit the Endurocross race in Prescott! Here's the press release:
2018 AMA EnduroCross Series Kicks Off This Weekend in Arizona
New venues, revised racing format and beIN Sports TV coverage
IRVINE, CALIF. (August 22, 2018) – The 2018 AMA EnduroCross series is ready to kick off this coming weekend in Prescott Valley, Arizona. FMF KTM’s Cody Webb, the defending champion will be back to defend his number one plate and Rockstar Husqvarna’s Colton Haaker, the 2016 champion, will likely be his primary challenger. Sparks often fly when these two engage on the track as they both want the same number one plate. Between them, they have won the last three AMA EnduroCross championships and last two FIM Super Enduro World championships, so they are arguably the two best indoor off-road racers in the world.

Although Webb and Haaker are heavy favorites, there is a strong contingent of veteran and young talent aiming to upset that dominance. SRT-Husqvarna’s Trystan Hart proved a quick study last year as he had several podium finishes, won the Junior Championship for riders twenty-one and under and finished second to Webb in the title chase. And multi-time Junior Champion Ty Tremaine finished third in the championship for the second year in a row and will now be competing on an Alta Redshift MX Electric bike. Other youngsters to watch include GasGas backed Noah Kepple, who has had several top-five finishes and Cooper Abbott, who finished the season in the top ten in 2017 and has joined the RPM KTM team for 2018.

As for the veterans, Kyle Redmond has multiple podium finishes to his credit and wants to get his first win. Beta USA has two strong contenders with Max Gerston and Mason Ottersberg flying the Italian brand colors. And the ageless Geoff Aaron, a multi-time main event winner will be back for another year on his GasGas. And Wild Wally Palmer is always a crowd favorite no matter where he finishes.

There will be a few tweaks to the evening racing format to keep things exciting. The pro class will go back to two heats (each with a bonus point on the line) and a single LCQ qualification process and the riders will now be required to use the “No Joke Lane” one time during the heat and LCQ rather than just during the main event. The head-to-head bracket racing will be back, now with just the top 8 riders, to determine the first gate pick and earn a bonus championship point.

The evening show will still include support classes for the Amateur, Vet 35+, Women, and TrialsCross classes. These provide opportunities for all riders to compete and they put on a great show for the fans.

And if you can’t make it in person, all six events will have TV coverage on beIN Sports. The shows will air on the Thursday following each event at 9 pm EST.  Check www.beinsports.com for info.

IRVINE, CALIF. (July 10, 2018) – FMF Racing is heavily involved with all forms of off-road motorcycle racing and will return as the official exhaust of AMA EnduroCross for 2018. EnduroCross Announces Six 2018 Events

Opening Round Kicks Off August 25th in Prescott Valley, AZ
IRVINE, CALIF. (April 17, 2018) – The 2018 AMA EnduroCross Series will kick off the first of six rounds on August 25th in Prescott Valley, Arizona. This will be the first EnduroCross event in Prescott Valley, but Arizona is a hotbed for off-road motorcycle racing and powersports.

Longtime rivals, FMF KTM-sponsored rider Cody Webb and Rockstar Husqvarna-sponsored rider Colton Haaker will face off again on the track, as Webb enters the series as this year’s favorite to win.  Webb won his third EnduroCross championship in 2017, and last month earned an FIM SuperEnduro World Championship.  Haaker, the 2016 AMA EnduroCross champion, aims to reclaim the EnduroCross crown this year.

Webb and Haaker are far from 2018’s only contenders: SRT’s Trystan Hart was 2017’s runner-up, Ty Tremaine finished the series third in 2016 and 2017, and this year will be riding an Alta Motors Electric motorcycle. Other competitors to watch include Noah Kepple, sponsored by GasGas, and Cooper Abbott, son of off-road legend Destry. Fans can’t forget SRT’s Kyle Redmond, Cory Graffunder, GasGas’ Geoff Aaron and Beta’s Max Gerston.

Round two will take place in conjunction with the widely popular Sand Sports Super Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Costa Mesa, California.  Two great events at one venue will make for one epic action sports weekend for fans.

Round three will be held at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center in Nevada, another strong off-road motorcycle and powersports community along the tour.  This event attracted a strong crowd as a first-time race last season.

The National Western Events Center in Denver, Colorado will host round four. This arena has been part of the series since 2007 and is a favorite among the riders.

The series will travel to the Pacific Northwest for round five.  The XFINITY Arena in Everett, Washington is known for its soft soil, creating an even more challenging and exciting course.  This event has been a consistent sell-out for years.

For the first time, the season will wrap up in Nampa, Idaho, just outside of Boise. The Ford Idaho Center’s huge arena floor will make for a great course to decide the championships.

In addition to the Super EnduroCross (Pro) class, the EnduroCross series will again include Open Amateur, Vet 35+, TrialsCross and Women’s classes. The main events for each of the classes will compete during the evening performance when the stands are packed with fans.
