Sacramento GEICO EnduroCross Track Map Revealed

Bryan Bosch

Exciting track planned for the next round

IRVIVE, CA – September 15, 2015 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – The GEICO AMA EnduroCross series has had a long summer break but will return to the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California on Saturday, September 26th. The home of the Sacramento Kings NBA team will look much different with the rocks, logs, sand and pond that make up the EnduroCross track.

As the track map reveals, the riders will be challenged right from the start with a huge log exiting the first turn before a tricky multiple log second turn leads them into the pond for the first time. A huge boulder field will greet them before the firewood pit, which typically proves to be one of the most unpredictable obstacles. Then it will be a “matrix”, which is a section of unevenly spaced logs that often send riders over the handlebars. The start straight will be the only break on the track before climbing the massive tractor tires and heading into an elevated rock section. And then they do it all over again for several laps.

Don’t miss the action as the riders start into the first of five remaining rounds to determine the 2015 GEICO AMA EnduroCross champion.
The 2015 GEICO AMA EnduroCross series will be back in action inside the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California on Saturday, September 26th.

Top WORCS/NHHA and GNCC riders crossing over for the finals
IRVINE, CALIF. (November 17, 2017) – Gary Sutherlin, the 2017 WORCS and National Hare & Hound champion and Jordan Ashburn, one of the top GNCC racers will both cross over to test their skills at EnduroCross this coming weekend. The final round of the EnduroCross series will take place in Ontario, California this Saturday, November 18th and these two riders will jump into the deep end of Super EnduroCross class.

Sutherlin, a Montana native that now lives in California, has had a great season already with two major championships. He was a regular EnduroCross rider for several years before changing his focus to chase other championships. The Purvines / DA8 Yamaha rider has had little time to practice EnduroCross, so he will be digging deep into his memory bank to shoot for a good result in Ontario.

Ashburn is a Tennessee native who has raced the GNCC series for several years. With the support of Beta USA, Ashburn put in several top five GNCC XC1 class finishes in 2017. He also took multiple wins in the Full Gas Sprint Enduro series and finished second in the championship. This will be Ashburn’s second ever EnduroCross race, but he is motivated to learn quickly and earn a spot in the Super EnduroCross main event.

These two riders will join a stacked field of EnduroCross regulars that always put on a great show. The pits are open to the public all day and there will be a Pit Party starting at 5:00 pm. You can get up close to meet the riders and see their bikes.  Opening ceremonies will start at 7:30 pm.

The Ontario EnduroCross will also include a Friday night Destry Abbott, DA8 training session on the track. The two-hour EnduroCross training session is very hands-on, with several of the top pro riders assisting Destry in providing instruction on how to tackle the obstacles. The class is open to all riders (even those not competing at the Ontario event). For the $100 entry fee, you will learn how to tackle the difficult obstacles found on tough trails and EnduroCross tracks. This will be limited to the first 20 entries, so get your entry in before it sells out.

EnduroCross has a class for everyone with Amateur, Vet, TrialsCross, Women’s and Super EnduroCross (Pro) classes. And for 2017, there is an Amateur B Main, which allows more riders to make it into the night show. If you want to give it a shot yourself, now is the time to sign up.

EnduroCross Roars into Boise for Penultimate Round

Idaho welcoming the most exciting racing on two wheels
IRVINE, CALIF. (November 2, 2017) – The Ford Idaho Center, which is in Nampa, just a little west of downtown Boise, will host round six of the 2017 EnduroCross series this Saturday, November 4th. Fastway by Pro Moto Billet presents EnduroCross by Rekluse Clutch, which are both local companies that provide the performance products that many of the EnduroCross racers use. Pitting the best off-road motorcycle racers against each other on a track filled with rocks, logs, tractor tires and a pond creates some of the most exciting racing action you will find anywhere. There is no better way to spend a Saturday night with your friends and family.

Cody Webb, the FMF KTM Factory rider and two-time EnduroCross champion, will come into the Boise event as the heavy favorite but anything can happen in EnduroCross. Colton Haaker, the defending EnduroCross champion, has unfortunately suffered some injuries and is not expected to participate but there is a long list of riders eager to challenge Webb.

Twenty-year-old Trystan Hart has stepped up this season and earned three podiums in five events. The Canadian challenged Webb at the most recent round in Scottsdale and wants to earn his first win. Kyle Redmond has earned several podiums over the years and he, too, is looking for a win. Ty Tremaine, the three-time Junior EnduroCross champion, who is still only twenty-one years old, finished third in the championship in 2017 and looks poised to challenge as well. GasGas backed Noah Kepple, another twenty-one-year-old, also shows amazing skills that could earn him a top spot. And Cooper Abbott, son of off-road motorcycle racing legend Destry Abbott, is quickly becoming one of the stars of EnduroCross. There will be plenty of action in the pro class and there are also classes for Amateur, Vet, Women and TrialsCross riders.

The Boise EnduroCross will also include one of the Friday night Destry Abbott, DA8 training sessions on the track. The two-hour EnduroCross training session is very hands on with several of the top pro riders assisting Destry in providing instruction on how to tackle the obstacles. The session is open to all riders (even those not competing at the Boise event). For the $100 entry fee, you will learn how to tackle the difficult obstacles found on tough trails and EnduroCross tracks. This will be limited to the first 20 entries so sign up quickly to hold your spot.
