Is this the next "BLOW YOUR MIND" film?

Its for real! The Never Ride Alone film is finally here. Many of you have been asking about how to watch it. Well, here’s is the deal.

A few years back I set out to make a film. I was blessed with a crazy story, so I wanted to share it with an audience. I had little film experience, but a ton of grit. I can now check this one off the list.

I will let the film do the talking. I have given little bits of it along the way via these blogposts, but it’s an experience that, as one dirt rider to another, I want you to take it all in.

Never Ride Alone is a grassroots film created by one dirt bike rider. It is pure motorcycle. It is pure passion for the sport. It is pure sweat that went into bringing this to the screen.

There were no sponsors, nobody filling the tanks up with gas to go shoot a scene, nobody paid to do the sound engineering, carry the gear, or even to hit the button to turn on the camera…Nobody but me. It’s been three years of work and impossible to count the hours or the financial investment I have put into the mix so far.

With that being said, my hope is that I can recoup some of the costs of the film as well as prepare myself for another film project in the future. My goal is to sell it organically through the communities where it resonates. That is where you come into play.

I have set up a crowdfunding campaign in order to bring others into the mix of making this thing reach a larger audience. I have studied the various options and feel this is a great way to reach my people target. Here is the deal: I am hoping that most will go make a contribution to the crowdfunding campaign. With a minimum contribution, you will receive a “perk” in the form of your own download of the film. Click on the link below to check it out:

Never Ride Alone film Indiegogo campaign

The perks for participating in the campaign include various things, but all start with at least a download of the film. There are movie posters, t-shirts, hoodies, and then a bunch of other cool packages that are event related such as commercial use license for theater showings.

Another perk I wanted to point out to the TT community is if there are any groups out there such as riding clubs or other types of moto groups, you can pool some resources together to have an event. Want to host a sweet moto movie at your local theater? Invite the entire club for the kickoff to the riding season? Start with a great community event complete with the film. There are a million ways to use the film. If any of that interests you, please reach out to me. I can do a movie night with a director Q and A, help with promotion to reach new club members, bring in new riders, whatever. The possibilities never end.

My hope is that the riding community will jump on board and help me push this film. My hope is also to reach those that may not have interest in motos. Maybe, it’ll inspire someone to try it out.  The film was not created just for riders, but to inspire a sense of passion in others to reach a bit deeper in life. I just used the motorcycle as a tool to share this message.

As I wrap this up, I also want you to understand how this organic approach to film distribution works. As this thing gets shared around, it will inevitably reach out into the market. However, when a concerted effort is taken, the timing is much more rapid.  Here is where you can help. Make a campaign contribution, watch the film, then share and make reviews anywhere you can. Use social media to share the campaign link with your riding buddies. I will be using some of the campaign funds to market the film in other ways. For example, I need to put the film in Spanish. It’s an expensive task, but needs to be done to expand the audience to another segment of the market.

If you are not at all interested in the campaign, I understand. I have never been the crowdfunding type. I just have never found anything that twists my throttle. So, if you still want a copy of the film, I do have the film available for purchase through video on demand. You can rent or buy through a specific VIMEO link.

Watch the trailer...then buy the movie!

I want to thank you in advance for your help in pushing this out to the riding community. I believe its things like this that will help to keep the sport alive for the generations to come.

Full throttle,

I've watch Scott's film and loved it. But, it's not about young gun riders doing amazing tricks on flash bikes in flash gear with a Red Bull film crew and lunch standing by.  Scott is very much a regular Joe rider (very talented Joe rider!) that has a burning passion for riding, the adventure and seeing what he's made of. I can't fathom how hard it was to create what he did in terms of time, limited budget and the physical and mental will to complete the ride and the film. Ever ridden hard enduro at 16,000ft for hours on end? I've done moderate trail riding for limited hours at 10k and that's tiring enough!

Seriously, hats off to you Scott. It's been good to get to know you over the last few years and to see this goal come to fruition. ThumperTalk is proud to be associated with you and what you represent. You're true ambassador to the sport and your film is a love letter to something we all hold near and dear. I even think non-riders will appreciate the story and maybe even a few might "get" a little bit of why we do what we do.

Folks, Scott's no money man.  I can guarantee that the $3.99 to rent his movie is totally worth the entertainment and beyond that, I sincerely believe his work is worthy of our support. Scott's probably given away more than he's made over the years with his orphans charity work in Cusco Peru (Moto Mission).

Excelente trabajo Scott!

Guys and Gals,  you have to check this out.  Consider making a donation of a few extra bucks and pick up some cool swag as well.

The film quality is down right amazing. the shots will take your breath away.  You can get a sense of the exposure and risk form the film but imagine how steep and dangerous you think it is and then multiply that by a factor of at least ten. As good as Scott's filming is, the go pro angles can't truly show how steep and knarly the Andes are.But it will still scare you.   I had the pleasure of two days out with Scott 2 years ago and I got chills and vivid flashbacks watching this today.

It's the kind of film that everyone can enjoy, (family friendly too).

Its clean! I can tell you that there is one use of the word "butthole," a couple times where I use use the word "crap" another time when I say the word "pissin me off" and finally, there is a famous MX racer that uses hell and sumbitch...No boobs, violence, sex, politics, racism,  just some cool riding with a solid inspirational message. If you are interested in a 100% no questionable words, let me know and I will put a special copy into your hands! I just watched it for the first time with my daughter last night and it made her cry! in a good way of course.

I signed up for the film.  WooHoo!!

How long can I expect it to take to get the code?

If you have to personally handle all this stuff I understand if it takes a while.

EDIT: never mind. It all sorted out in a few minutes.

will watch tonight with popcorn :)

I'd agree. If you let your kids watch TV, your flick is low risk by comparison! Not sure about you, but I never swear in front of my kids. Well, unless I'm working on something than all bets are off! ;)
