I do the same thing as Phil (just much slower).  I tend to get my leg pulled behind me because I'm not keeping it up.  When I do it right the KTM carves, when I don't it stinks.  Sometimes I don't have full faith in the front end so that's why I leave it lower.

I see what you're saying. Practice riding the bike through the corner without using your inside leg as a safety crutch. Try it slow at first while trying to not let your inside foot touch.
