Painted mine black with rustoleum or krylon, i dont remember, but it was black and made my basement smell funny.

If it chips, spray it again.

You can also get one from Supersprox. They're steel with aluminum centers and the cost is reasonable.

i heard they have a warranty too. i think it was them...
