What's the front end "beta steer feel?"

Lots of front end feedback when turning, easy to find traction and play on the edge of traction. Lots of front end confidence . if you like turning on the front tire vs "kx450 villopoto steering with the rear" the beta geometry is awesome.

Thx for the response.

I've ridden my 2020 300 all of 45 minutes so far plus a little in front of our house on pavement. The bike turns great. Front wheel flops into the correct turning radius when the bike is leaned over just like a good mountain bike. I haven't even had a chance to set sag yet. Pretty stoked.

That's one of the main things I like about Beta, is the front end feel. I can still throw the back around if I want to, but it's not the only way like my old yz250.

So there are lots of Boano Beta’s on here. So who has the most tricked out Beta X-Trainer?

The more I watch videos, the more they interest me but at my weight I’d be going all out in suspension options.

some very nice rides posted.

Here’s one hard enduro Xtrainer that I saw at one of our last mud races.

Hi Guys and gals, this is my first post to this forum after being a guest reader for years! I`m from Norway so you will have to excuse my English :)

Picked up a 2013 Beta 300 RR in October. The bike had at least 300 hours to it (Speedo broken)

79142334_10157655959876101_4037710201057443840_n.jpg.7cb21c8c4b42bdafd6e560f74955015a.jpg

First up a lot of cleaning layer by layer...

78816665_10157655959596101_1972869832730738688_n.jpg.8ff1df8f146aaa84a64bc7beab3ae0a3.jpg

Most of the bikes parts were past its lifetime, so the junkyard got some nice "gifts" from me..

78144959_10157655959541101_808765706458890240_n.thumb.jpg.df0601db2aa2d0a733437b82c85dce36.jpg

Then time to start the "restoration" The frame was badly dented at the bottom and took a lot of work to be straight again

Got the thing sandblasted and painted (Lucky to have the possibility to do it at work)

78930015_10157655958566101_1925255417265389568_n.thumb.jpg.089dcc0f94c3847ccfc0fdb1fe630f77.jpg78419607_10157655958261101_7843235823007825920_n.thumb.jpg.cc0cb74606a6b17492d01d8d6dd4f569.jpg

Started the engine build, hoping it would do with just a new oversize piston.. But it needed.....everything! New cylinder and piston, new bearings and piston shaft +++

Checked out tolerance on the gearbox, everything was within specs fortunately!

Also blasted the cases as they were not nice

Was a lot of work, but I think it turned out great :)

Next up was the swing arm. Gave it some sanding and new paint. Changed all the bearings and spacers.

The wheels needed some truing and new bearings. Also added a S3 parts wheels sticker kit to make them look a little fresher

Finished result:

Quite happy with the result myself! Now just waiting for some parts to rebuild the Rekluse clutch, and I will be out thrashing it again :)

Will also probably rebuild the rear damper in the near future, and add a carbon shield to the exhaust

Upgrades from stock:

IMS fuel tank

Rekluse Exp 3.0 Core

Tubliss 2

S3 parts wheelstickers, pegs and handlebar

Polisport swing arm protectors

Pro Circut muffler

Blackbird seat cover

Simplified wiring harness

Led Head light

Factory 2014 decals

Kyb front fork (Was lucky to find a very low mileage from a Husky TE 449 2013)

Brembo caliper front

Sorry for the long post!!!

Wow! What a job, congrats my friend, well done. I hope you did not pay a lot for that bike. Seems it had been really abused. That frame however, would make me nervous.

My English isn't good either, don't worry, the guys here are (almost) all friendly to foreigners ;)

Thanks!

No it was dirt cheap to buy, but still it has cost me to much at the end 🤑 (Could probably bought a 15 with reasonable hours for the same amount)

Yeah, I will keep track of the frame, if it cracks or something. Already checked the price for a new frame, and it is not too bad if the old one turns out not to hold.

I think you've done just right. At least after the rebuild you know that everything was done right. probably a big advantage
