Convert spring rate ?

Hi again people I'm looking at spring rates and have have noticed the spring rate calculators are written kg/mm but on uk websites everything is listed n/mm. How does kg/mm convert to the n/mm?

Basically my recommended spring rate is 0.457 on racetechs search but I need to order in n/mm.

Phew that was a mind bender to write.

Head is spinning now.

Cheers

there are online conversion charts. just type in kg to newton in the search bar. i believe that .457 kg converts to 4.482 newtons

You got it in one!! I feel like a right muppet.well done and thanks

lol. you are welcome. glad i could help

Multiply kg/mm by 9.81 to get newtons/mm

9.81 m/s^2 is the acceleration due to gravity. It converts units of mass (kg) to units of force (newtons).
