Yeah im ready to throw down the $375

Pretty convinced they'd be good for someone like me who cant be F'd with jetting.

I sent apt an e-mail last night, but no reply as of yet.

Think they're going to start shipping the cast ones in a few weeks or so..

So, the cast ones are good to go?

Not quite. SmartCarb is making an announcement on Thursday about the cast 38mm carbs that were pre-ordered and originally slated for May 1 release. They are about 2 weeks behind that and people are hoping for good news on Thursday. They are also supposed to update the status of the release of the 36mm cast carbs (which I have pre-ordered) which originally had a release date of July 1.

Out of curiosity, what size carb is used on KTM 300's

I think you'll find guys on both sides of the fence on this one when it comes to the Smart Carb on the 300s. OEM is a 36mm carb. Corey at Smart Carb is recommending the 38mm for higher altitudes and guys that want better top end pull.

If you want to retain great bottom end on the 300, stick with the 36mm.

EDIT: Here is the basic recommendation chart from their website:
