'85 510TE, No Spark

Recommended Posts

23 years of ownership and now my bike has no spark.... I disconnected the kill button, no spark.

Looked and checked wire connections and plug wire connection, no spark.

I need help. Is there other ways to check components, other than replacing them one at a time? If I have to replace electrical components, where is the best source for this stuff?

hi,

Do you have spec's for the individual parts,

Uptite George should be able to help,

if it's Major work , maybe look at PVL ignitions,

I talked to George and he's got me testing and trying stuff.

Thanks for the tip.

No problem,

I used Qoute - just to seem more images of that fine motor,

( I was at the international 4-stroke MX challenge in late '83 when half of the field were on the "brand-new " husky 510 - they even made the Aberg Yamaha's look VERY average),

great to see it all again,

the PVL ignitions are used a LOT in classic MX now,

mainly as a motoplat substitute,

but should do well on yours too , if necessary,

PVL doesn't make an ignition system for the four stroke husky, but www.powerdynamo.biz does

The heavier flywheel-full kit costs $457+

Anyone have experience with this company or product?
