High Altitude Jetting for 2004 Suzuki RMZ 250

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

I live in Colorado and am having trouble jetting my bike. I currently have a FMF Powerbomb header and FMF Q4 slip-on as well. The current jetting is 40, 65, 150 for pilot, needle, and main. I am backfiring and getting NO power at 1/2 to full throttle.

Thanks for your guys' help!

Andrew

Colorado is a big state. 5000ft? 12,000ft elevation

You are WAY too lean....

...and there is no such thing as a 65 needle.....

You need to be more like 42/ NCVS/ 160, and put on a remote fuel screw so you can properly adjust it. That's the only way to know if you have the correct pilot jet.

Read the fuel screw adjustment faq.
