2006 rm85 top end torque and gap

Recommended Posts

I am new to this and was unable to find a thread that covered this. I am rebuilding a top end with all oem parts and wanted to know what the ring gap should be and the torque specs for the cylinder and head. Please let me know if this is already covered in a thread or if I am going about this in the wrong way. I am getting a manual but did not want to wait that long to get it back together.

If you're using OEM parts you shouldn't need to mess with ring gaps. Just install them.

If the head bolts are the typical 8mm studs you should be good with 18 lbs-ft
