Exactly what I needed. I got on a little bit of dirt road on that ride, and wasn't wailing away in top gear. Meanwhile everything else is just the same, just right for singletrack.

Interesting, how would you describe the jump from 4th to 5th?

Been working on the project bike I bought last summer.

Cleaned the frame, got the subframe welded were it was worn, powdercoating the rims, new footpegs with oversize pins,...

still a lot of work to do!

Next is finish the brakes and then rebuild the engine.

Might make a nice downhill bike in the meantime ?

That is going to look amazing. 1 thing I'd maybe suggest is going to the bigger front rotor (270mm.) I felt like it makes a nice difference over the old one on the pre-17 models.

I know, I have a 2018 with the 270mm brake disc but the 2007 is a project bike and when it's finished it will be sold so not going to spend too much money on it.

Just build it good so the next owner is happy. It has the older style brake caliper with the bigger pistons and I installed a steel braided line with new brake pads on the 2007 ?

This is my 2018 I've bought new mid 2019 and only has 25 hours on it now

16 and 21 are identical I believe. You just want a new one?

The '16 ( bought it used  ) had  many hours prob 300+ it was time to jump ship.

Swapped the goodies over. Pulled these off the '16 and am looking forward to the extra reach on the '21. Still have rad braces and a tubeless set up to swap over this winter.
