What did you do to your Yamaha YZ 2 stroke today?

G2 bar end inserts. Got tired of the spreader type coming loose. A bit of sweat tapping the threads with just a 10” wrench. One trick on assembly: as they come, when you back out the bolt, the inserts come out too. Trick I found was to have much less of the bolt inside the thread so that the bolt had less purchase on the insert.

Love those. They work fantastic, never pull it, and I haven’t bent bars for some time.

That part only goes on the left side of the swing arm

I know, the left one (half moon) and is installed, the right one (round) is missing.

So if you are telling me your bike only has one on the left, you are wrong.

Pick any years from 02-19 as you see 34, and 35 as the part  01 and early have both round ones.

You know, I am the Doc, aka YZDOC Restoration, and I’m messing with you. Don’t take it the wrong way.

Nice build, these caps keep the mud out, and give it a finish. They also dye black if needed.

Well, just got it (16 250X) and since its 16* and snowy today I decided to tear down the moving parts. Neck bearings were a known issue as this bike sat for a while (owner had a few bikes). Pulled the linkage and swingarm bolt to clean/grease. Bout it for now, but the list of add-on wants is growing!

Pics?!
