The whole point is to give a fan access and amities at the turnstile.

They gave up track at Elsinore but did achieve a family with stroller event.  

 

They actually did a 10/10 job of this.

 

Utah clearly did not bring it to the fans.

 

If they really cared about TV ratings at a world leading track

they gotta go deep.  Mammoth Mountain.  We drool like Toshi

just dose anyway.

 

You would have 5K of die hards at track side and every fan

in the world watching.

 

FYI Elsinore last year, worth it more then any other race to attend.

Reality is they have a MX state with a former governor 

that rode.  If you put lipstick on a pig it's still a pig.

 

Like I was going to shell out cash to see that when I could have gone to Colorado or Washington?

I liked how the start went downhill to the left. I also liked all the sand and the track had plenty of passing opertunities

But overall I think the tack looked like an amature home track built in a industrial park. I'll keep going to RedBud

You're kidding right? Demographics has everything to do with holding a National at a new facility. Certainly the owner of this Miller Motorsports Park thought he could add a motocross track to his existing facility in order to host a National and make an initial profit and then subsequent profits thereafter hosting amateur events and yearly Nationals. As I understand it the owner worked non-stop for over a month trucking in thousands of tons of dirt and bulldozing it into a track. Never mind the thousands of more dollars he/she had to spend to create an infrastructure that met the set of standards and rules of the motocross sanctioning organizations. Then theres the huge insurance policy and even more the setting up of all the sponsorship packages, security, parking, vendors and misc other things that go on during a National. So after all that I'm kind of thinking that you'd want more than 5000 spectators to show up. At $40 a pop thats 200 grand but I bet in the end the promoter probably just broke even or actually lost money.
