This is how I bought my 2012 WR250R Supermoto:

Stripped her:

Did a Stunt Build:

Then went for the clean look:

Changed a few more things including graphics:

Please realize I am a 16 year old kid who did all of this by himself, in under 9 months. I am NO WHERE close to finishing the bike tho. Soon I'll completely tear down the bike and powdercoat everything black and purple (including the frame). Here's the main thread:

I also make YT videos on it. Here's the review vid:

Hello everyone

Wanted give you all a laugh, I picked up this TS250A about a year ago from Ebay, it cost £415 (cheap for the UK) , has its registration document/number and the seller dropped it off at our address.....good bloke!

It was minus the head and barrel but I was really lucky to find both...again on Ebay, the barrel has been beautifully gas flowed, the port timing is standard and the head has been skimmed. Included was 2 engines, pistons, carburettors, exhaust system etc etc.

I think most of the 250As went to the US, they were peculiar to 1976, one year only.

I have another 250A, it is road registered for use during the daytime and despite the engine not having been apart in its lifetime, goes very well.

Included a couple of pictures PAO 115P.

My first large overhaul came as a box full of 2004 WR450f bits; when I brought her home.

Four years later;

Everything on the WR was documented on TT in an epic 13 page battle of wits and patience.. everything from a 3 rebuilds, repairing fire damage, building a custom wiring harness and fixing lots crash damage.

Second overhaul wasn't so bad on a 2009 RM-Z450 sumo.. it was mostly just a re-grease, some plastics, some suspension work, and decal design.  Unfortunately I've only got a photo just before I sold the bike..

After vowing never to do another bargain bin bike like the WR... I picked up a mini bike for supermoto track duty..  The 2009 KTM 105sx was ridden hard and put away wet...

After everything was refreshed and motarded out.

Well after seeing most of the posts on here my project seems minuscule!  But when I asked my buddy if he any old 2 strokes he wanted to get rid of, he said no, but he had a 2010 450R he would sell me for $1200.  So my next question was, what is wrong with it??  He sent me a couple pics and didn't look too bad, but then he sent me a video of how it got "a little damaged".  Front handlebars looked bent, but digging further, turned out to be the bolt in the triple clamp got bent!  And of course the subframe was way off.  The only thing I really had to do was buy a new subframe and I straightened that bolt myself.  Got myself some new plastics and decals and ended up with a pretty nice 2010 450R with less than 2 hours ride time on it.  So FF the video to about 1:07 and enjoy!! ha

If the lettering on those new shroud decals was Honda blue the cosmetics would be complete.
