Scowman Posted April 25, 2020 (edited) The crazy thing is I rode it about 100 miles before I rebuilt it. Hadn’t been ridden in 20 years but it ran. No brakes, no suspension and the tires were coming apart but it was still a blast to ride. Edited April 25, 2020 by Scowman

Haven’t even pulled top end off yet. Motor and tranny work great. Replaced the entire clutch, crank seals, put a RaceTech GS rear shock and the front end off a 1982 YZ250 with RT gold valves, that I have since updated to a 1986 Yz 250 front end with a disc brake. Some more pics. Edited April 25, 2020 by Scowman
Scowman Posted April 25, 2020 (edited) More pics. I forgot that the tank is actually off an 81 YZ465. I put that on to extend the range a little. It’s wider in the front. Funny thing is everyone complained about how wide the Yz tanks were back then. Compared to modern radiator bikes they are slim. Scowman Posted April 25, 2020 (edited) Here is bike just pulled out of 20 year storage. Note the Vesco desert tank. Fugly! The 38mm forks look like they will snap off on the first big hit. I can’t believe Hannah rode supercross with those Edited April 25, 2020 by Scowman

BDP27 Posted May 14, 2020 Picked up a 04 KTM 50 for my kid to move up to from a PW50. It was rough around the edges, but had receipts for a lot of new parts/service. So I thought it had good bones. I am pretty sure the receipts where made up. I feel like it had at one point fallen of a moving truck on the highway. Shame on me for not doing more homework on it, but oh well. I have it back to a respectable level and have learned lots doing it.
PNWoods Posted May 23, 2020 (edited) Back at it again! 2009 KTM XC-W "Forest Fighter" built for PNW Mountain single track. Too lazy to list all she has been upgraded with and still a few items that are backordered due to covid like seat cover, brush guards... Tyler Scott Posted December 26, 2020 (edited) Just came across this old photo. I was 18yrs old. (2003)And had this 01. Trimmed front fender, blacked out as much as possible, pro tapers, pro circuit platinum pipe. I think the no front number plate was a style. I don’t remember. I’d sure love to have it back Edited December 26, 2020 by Tyler Scott
