Yosh RS-4 repacking

Is it worth getting the repack kit right from yoshimura or will the fmf packing I already bought be good enough?

If you buy the yosh kit you better have a good quality rivet gun.

They supply some of the toughest rivets I've ever seen.

Yeah I can get a good pneumatic rivet gun but I am just wondering if the fmf packing will work with the rs4 since the yosh packing is not the same type

Packing is packing. Some will probably last longer than others. But you should have no problem using the FMF material in your RS4.

I'm about to go the other way since I have a bundle of Yosh packing and now use FMF exhausts.

I took out the spark arrestor and my RS-4 was very loud. I figured I should change the packing since it had 130 hrs on it. When I pulled it apart there wasn't any missing and most of it was still white....it's just as loud after using the new yosh factory packing kit.
