K so my friend is fixing his yz125 and when put cases together and put the Allen key bolts in tight on the flywheel side the crank locks up completely what is the issue ImageUploadedByThumper Talk1377705927.731840.jpg

If there are spacers in between the crank and crank case there might be too many or too thick check if there are any and remove some if there is

Also check to be sure the bearings are fully seated in the cases

I assume you have a manual.

 

this is from the manual:

 

"If the crankshaft will not turn smoothly, make an
adjustment by gently tapping its right end with a
soft hammer." 

 

I've had to do this with a couple of motors. Make sure you use a RUBBER MALLET though. It says, "gently tapping" but you may have to rap it pretty good.

If main crank bearings arent seated all the way they will bind and crank will be tight

Or pulling the crankcases together with their allen bolts can cause that one side sits tighter towards the case than the other among other things :( .
