It's going to feel like a feather compared to that RMZ450, but you may miss the torque.  Go ahead and start planning for a big bore kit. ?  For now you might also look at the timing thread and if you feel you need to, bump the timing back a couple of degrees.  It really smooths out the hit and makes the bike more tractable.  It also makes it run better on pump fuel.
