Chain length

Recommended Posts

My chain is only 114 and it seems a little short. There isn't a lot of clearance from the tire to the mud flap. I bought the used. Since there isn't a lot if clearance, should I add a couple links? Thanks

Chains come 120 link

You cut to fit your application.

Chains come in all kinds of lengths, buy one that fits your application so you don't have to cut it

Good chains don't come 'in all kinds of lengths' unless you are willing to pay a serious premium to have them cut for you.....

Renthal and some others offer 14, 116 and 120 off the shelf.

DID's O ring and X ring chains come 120 only.

DID site shows the amount of links for any stock chain:

That is so weird, because all my years work at a motorcycle shop the DID's, regina's came in all different lengths(including larger than 120), maybe someone should tell them they are selling them wrong Edited by MrRong
