Lowest price "s" model magneto cover?

So it happened, shifter through the left side magneto case. Didn't happen to me, (I have TT case savers) but a riding buddys bike, despite my STRONG suggestion to put them on....

So where would I find a low priced one? I'm seeing $190 on TT store and $170ish on eBay.

Pretty straight forward or do I need any special tools?

There is no 'S' model cover - unless you where trying to make that point by means of the quotes  ?

 

Search for 14031-S008 - the Kawasaki part.  It will usually somewhat cheaper.

 

Edit: No special tools required, just be careful with the steel gasket - it will cut and can be deformed.

You could check E Bay , sometimes decent ones come up .

What I meant is I found one for $100 but it was for a kicker, so one for an electric start model is what I'm in search of.

Any year, of any model S, E, SM, or KLX400SR will work.

Special tool, no, correct tool yes.

 The screws holding the stator to the cover are best removed with a impact screw driver and a #2 bit. 

If you have not seen the Tech write up in the FAQ covering this you may want to take a moment to look. 

There are a few "gotchas" in the stator cover removal and replacement
