so, my powervalve govenor broke...

i have quite litterally never seen this happen. and wanna really know why, other than a stressed gear.

okay so im buying a new one well by that i mean ebay for now, because a new ones a little pricey right now, but why do some of them (that fit according to fiches and cross referencing part #'s) have springs? mineee doesn't have a spring on it?

Any foreign object bouncing around and get caught up in the cog?  Any other bits floating around the transmission?

nothing i've found that should break a gear like that, took a magnet into the bottom end, got the balls out. im more curious now as to do any 202 or newer rm125's have springs on the backside of that govenor.
