2012 crf IAT sensor

Recommended Posts

I have a 2012 crf 250r and the MIL sensor blinks 9 times.  This indicates the Iat sensor has a problem but i cant figure it out.  I have replaced it.  It is plugged in.  I have cleaned it off and none of that has fixed the problem.  The screen has been removed from the cage in the air box i dont thing that could cause this problem but am curious.  Does anyone have any ideas as to what i could do to get this light to turn off?  The bike runs great but i would just like the light to be off.  Could this possibly cause problems on down the road?

Check sensor connector, the prongs, the wires in the connector, trace the wires all the way back looking for issues, check radiator mounting bolt ground connection (remove bolt, clean area and any corrosion, reinstall bolt) then try again.

Also, wipe any oil filter oil grunge off the sensor tip, inside the airbox.

did you accidentally pull the wires out of the back of the sensor/plug recently?

No I took the air box off to make sure that the wires weren't pulled out. I haven't followed the wire back to the ECM yet. So that could still be the problem. Preciate the help
