DRZ 400 rear shocks

I have a DRZ400s 2007, are the rear shocks the same in length ? I would like to lower the rear of my bike and this could be an option. Thanks for your answers.

DRZ400 E and S all years rear suspension units are all the same length.  The SM rear suspension unit is shorter.  Not sure how much it will lower the rear.

Lowering links make the rear like a sponge, even with the spring tension increased. I have a gel seat and i don't like the looks of the bike with it on. Thanks for the info

Yup. I bought my DRZ used and it came with Kouba links and the gel seat. I put the stock links back on and am looking for a used stock seat... I don't like the look of the gel seat either. I also cranked down the preload (compared to where it was when I got it) and helped a tad. Good luck.

I have the solution to the problem, in the middle of October if the weather gets bad i am going to send my rear shock to Erik Marquez for him to shorten. Thought about getting a heavier spring but that is a guessing game. Just send him the shock and have him do his magic.
