What size tire do you use?

I just installed a new mx51 rear tire on my '13. I went with the same size as stock. 120/80-19. After installing it, I thought it looked skinny like a 250f tire. As I said, it's the exact same size as the stock one which I thought looked skinny too. It got me wondering what size tire other people use. Are any of you guys running a larger tire on the stock rim?

120/80-19 is a pretty heavy, beefy and wide tire. You're good...

New tires always look skinnier. Also overinflating gives this look.

The tire numbers don't tell you the overall size, just the carcass ratios.

You have to go on the tire co. website to see the dimensions.

A Dunlop 739S 110/100 is taller and wider than a MX71 120/100 which is taller and but narrower than an MX 51 120/100

. Also overinflating gives this look.

Just installed the same MX51 120/80-19 on my 09 450R.. how much tire pressure are you running.?

We always ran 110-90 on the 09-12 bikes. It made it easier to drop into ruts and turn. We run 120 on the 13.
