air shocks

so i recently bout an xr250 and it has air shocks. i was wondering what psi they should be at. i know i need to add air but im not sure how much to add

Are these custom shocks?

 

Those valves are usually pressure release valves.  You DON'T want to add air to them.  You use them to bleed air off the shocks.

You actually can fill air into almost any fork, it changes the bottoming resistance.

And, you do NOT want to touch the REAR SHOCK with an air hose.  It's at high pressure, and is not designed to be adjusted with an air hose.
