anyone running a Xr's only chain-guide?

Recommended Posts

I found a related post  from a long time ago but it's exactly what I noticed

I just got an XR's only guide in for my L model....

It doesn't fit so good, yes it's installed on the inside of the swingarm tab, which is really the only way it wiould go anyway.

The chain rubs on the outside of the guide against the white plastic, not hard rub but it is wearing at that spot.

It also doesn't put ANY pressure on the chain bottom at all like the stock one did; at lower "lugging" speeds the chain whips like a bullwhip, I can't believe that can be good; but that may be due to my 42 tooth rear sprocket; and it's not adjustable for different sprockets sizes.....I am going to modify it myself to get it right......

It IS pretty tho'....but other than that I'm not too impressed......

While I'm on the subject their temperature dip stick is about as waterproof as a sponge...it got water in it in a 15 minute ride in a light drizzle........

It's pretty also.......
