2004 kx 250 clutch problems

I think I might need a new clutch for my kx it dies when I kick it down in to 1st but once it warms all the way up its fine and when I pull the clutch lever in while going down hill it starts to revs up as if I wasn't holding the clutch I've tried to adjust it but no success. Someone help me out.

Plates are probably out of their service limits. There's a thread in the FAQ about KIPS and clutch. The clutch portion will teach you alot.

Also, your springs are probably weak as well.

 

Now for the #1 question...Do you have a service manual?

alright yes I have the manual

Now you just need dial calipers.
