86 and 87 YZ 125 CDI - Interchangeable?

The 86 and 87 YZ 125 CDI boxes -- would they be interchangeable? The connectors appear different but that could be spliced.

The 86 is 20 bucks. The freakin 87 is 119!!! I have a bad one on my 87 125 and im looking to replace it.

Better yet...what about an aftermarket CDI for an 87 yz 125? Anyone know of any that aren't ridiculously priced?

I actually found an 87 CDI on fleabay last night for 40 bucks. Crisis averted!
