yama-newb help

I am rebuilding 94 yz250 and the manual calls for molly grease at the tip of the bolt that hold power valves halves together.  I am not sure if this is ok.  It's on page 4-26 in the original manual.

also, the gold colored coating  on the top halves of the crack case is worn off in places.  Is that a big deal?

Thanks

The coloring being worn off is not an issue as long as the cases are in good condition otherwise (no cracks or other damage).

You can't go wrong using the recommended lubricants and greases listed in the OEM manuals.
