crf250 2010 killswitch problems

after being on my bike for a bit tonight I noticed that the killswitch orange light was permanent on but only a dim light?
I switched it off an started again and the light came on as normal bright , and then went to dim instead of off again? so thought it maybe hot so left it cool down tried again an the same has happened? anyone have any ideas what it could be?
