2009 TE450 odometer issue

Recommended Posts

I bought my Husky new in 2009 and use the odometer to determine maintenance times for things like oil changes. A couple years ago the odometer began to indicate 1388 miles whenever you restart the bike, in essence not keeping track of the mileage. I attributed this to a weak battery the first couple times this happened but now even w a new battery it still happens. Any ideas? Can my actual odometer reading be recovered or is it lost forever? Should I scrap the stock odometer and get an aftermarket one like the Vector? Has this happened to anyone else? Suggestions.
