Friction plate cleaning help

Usually when I remove a clutch I put it in a Walmart bag and tie it up so nothing can get to it. But this time I forgot to tie it up and its been out of the bike for a month. Some trash like grass got in the bag from mowing and now the hole clutch plack is covered. The only thing I'm worried about is the friction plates. The rest can be cleaned normally. Would a quick dip in parts cleaner and then soap water be ok? Maybe dry them and then soak in tranny oil after fix everything? How should I go about this? They are still plenty good but I Don't want to ruin them trying to clean them. Please help
