1991 xt 350

Bought an xt 350. It idles fine but when I go to give it gas it rolls and wants to die. Guy put dg silencer on it and said it needs rejetted. Any suggestions on how to approach this.

you should first look at the 2 rubber intakes for air leaks. I had to remove carb to find the bad one.

The diaphragm on the right side carb likes to rip as well. It usually pops when the bike backfires a lot. That in turn is generally caused by clogged pilot circuits in the primary ( left) carb. The ripped diapraghm creates not only more air leaks, but a non-functioning secondary carb as well.

Isn't ethanol fun?
