what Honda do I have?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I've just bought a Honda 250 in Vietnam and I am unsure what model it is?

It is liquid cooled, with electric start.

On the side of the cylinder, it has stamped in in it 144cm3

Anybody know??

Thanks

Gee

That is a Honda XL250 Degree. Looks like this bike is sold in the Asian market and not available in the US. The bike appears to be very similar to a NX250 which was sold in the US from 1988-1990. You sure the stamp on the engine does not say 249cm3? 144cm3 would indicate it to be 150cc? Looks like a very cool bike, liquid cooled DOHC engine in what appears to be an XR frame. The NX250s are very rare here in the US only sold from 1988-1990.

wow.....thanks.....it does say "144cm3" on the engine cylinder.......I was told it was an XR250.....but you sound more reliable than the guy selling it to me....

The bike sounds wicked with an open pipe and sure turns heads here in VN....

I just spun the front sprocket and from what I see in this picture.....not sure how good it will look once I open it up...(looks different to what I remember from past bikes with a cam gear key lock)

I hope to hell its an easy fix!! Grrrrrr

Thanks so much for your help bro!!

Super appreciated
