Transmission oil?

I have a 1999 ktm 250exc and I'm about ready for an oil change, what do you guys run for tranny oil? My manual states to use 10w40 motor oil, but I have heard that a lot of people run ATF with great results, so which one would be better to use? Thanks.

Rotella 15/40, white bottle....

How do you like Rotella in a Rekluse?

Works awesome. I have 3 Rekluse clutches at my house. My YZ 250, KTM 500EXC and KTM 250XCF and all have been running flawless...

Atf not so great. Rotella is for real though...works fine in a 2T tranny.

I'm using bel ray 80W gear oil in my 125sx

I went from this Bel Ray (5gal) , which worked great, to the Rotella Monk mentions , I notice no difference. 300 XC and YZ125 and it comes out clean and not broken down at about the same intervals I was changing the Bel Ray BelRay80-85_zps939202a8.jpg

you can run pretty much anything you want IMO
