bmx grips on dirt bike?

so i needed new grips and i was in a hurry and ordered the pro tapper pillow grips iv had them before and figured they were good until i read they were for non twist throttle. has anyone been able to stretch a grip over a throttle tube? i don't want them to go to waste.

I've put quad grips on dirtbikes In the past and they always work well. Just spray windex in the grip and Hurry and slip on. Then wore tie or watevr

i guess i can give it a shot when they come in i have a new throttle tube off the bike so i can try to get it on that before i put it on the bike.

Use a basket ball needle, poke it through the end of the grip. Use a blow gun and compressor. Plug the end of the bars on the clutch side and blow the grip on. This will expand the grip enough to slide it right on then wire tie.

Carb cleaner works well to slip grips into place. But no matter wut is used, they normally start twisting and moving over time.

Yes to air compressor....Just jam a screwdriver in the open end with the air....it will go right on.

Grips for the twist throttle side are thinner so that when installed both sides are the same diameter. If you use a non-twist grip you wilk end up with a fatter grip on the right side.

OP, please post up results of the techniques mentioned to fit the throttle side, pix would be nice.
