TrailTech Vapor

Recommended Posts

Im installing a TrailTech Vapor unit on my 13' 450 XCF and Im having trouble getting the tach to work properly.  I called TrailTech n they told me not to ground it to an existing ground so to avoid noise from other components. Im Having trouble selecting a spot to ground to and also wondering how others have attached the positive; wrapped around the spark plug wire or direct to the coil?

Any feedback would be appreciated. IMG_1198.JPG

I have the voyager and just wrapped the wire around the spark plug wire just behind the boot and zip tied it.

The Voyager and Vapor are different.  I don't think the Voyager requires a ground, but the Vapor does.  My Vapor is on a different bike, but I ground it to the screw that hold the coil to the frame.
