Squish settings

I am curious what changes others have seen after setting squish? Performance, jetting? which reed spacing or type of reed cage, and exhaust works best? I just had the head on my 2010 250 machined down 0.015" which gave me a squish clearance of 0.052". and rebuilt with a fresh wiseco.

Squish really needs to be between .040" and .042" and the bowl then needs to be opened up depending on what gas you run.  Some tuners also alter the angle of the squish band.  Jeff Slavens, Eric Gorr, RB Designs and a couple of guys over on KTMTALK have this procedure down to a fine art.  Jetting should get easier to set but there will not be any major change (or at least wasn't with my bikes).
