Showa A kit tear down question

I have a set of A Kit Showa forks on a CRF 250R. I need to re-spring for my sons weight. My question is, is there anything special in the A kit forks that I need to be aware of when replacing springs, or are they pretty much the same as the stock when it comes to replacing springs? Also, does anyone have a oil volume for me to start with? Keep in mind you are dealing with a pure rookie when it comes suspension. Thanks in advance.
