KLX 300 No Front Brake

Bike was in storage for about a year.  Pulled out to get ready for Fall/Winter riding season.  The front brake now does not work and all was great prior to storage.  I have been unable to force fluid through the system by the traditional method of bleeding the brake and also was unable to force fluid up through the system from the caliper using a syringe.  Any ideas what to try next?

I went through the entire system and found the culprit.  The bottom hole in the brake line was plugged with some white crusty substance.  That was the only location I found the substance.  Although the fluid looked clean and wasn't that old prior to storage something caused the buildup of junk to occur.  I'm guessing moisture but I have not seen this type of substance before.
