2013 Plastics on a 2012?

I am sorry if there has already been a thread about this, I couldn't find it.

 

Any mods needed for the front number plate and fender from a 13 to fit on a 12? Also do the side shrouds from a 13 fit on a 12?

 

I am talking about a 2012 450sxf by the way.

Yes, they will fit, but it's my understanding you need to replace both the shrouds and air box covers for them to fit.  You also need an adapter for the front fender (ordered the Flatland Adapter Kit (P/N FL19-30) and front fender (P/N TR73-7660) through Slavens Racing) and the OEM shroud/spoiler kit (P/N 131307004414) and air box covers (P/Ns 131307004502 and 131307004503) through Rocky Mountain ATV/MC for my '12 SXF 350.  Here's a TT link regarding this matter (FYI '11 fitment is the same as the '12). https://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/1013991-13-plastics-on-11/page-2?hl=%2Bplastics#entry11095819  Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot for the info! do I just need the airbox covers or the whole airbox? How much do they usually run price wise?

From what I read in the other forum only the air box covers are required. I paid $114 (with free shipping) for the OEM covers and shrouds. The shrouds come with the '13 KTM graphics. The front fender adapter and '13 Acerbis fender was $82 with shipping. I plan to keep my white rear fender installed (unless it doesn't look good).

Received and installed the new '13 SXF 350 OEM plastics on my '12 SXF 350 tonight and everything fits great! The air box covers come with the stock graphics as well. Will post pics tomorrow.

Here's a pic with the '13 plastics on my '12. The '12 number plate does not fit with the '13 front fender and Slavens Racing fender adapter. I ordered the '13 plate and orange rear fender. Will post another pic when those are installed.
