Cr 125 idles high

Recommended Posts

My cr won't idle down below about 1/4 I've put a new air filter on and looked at the carb (had it off inspected) looked ok it runs fine but is overheating now I thinks it must be running lean but the air mixture does nothing with adjusting (no obvious differance) PLEASE HELP!!!!

Check for air leaks or a bad crank seal.

Spray wd40 or other on the carb boots while the bike is running and listen for changes in rpm

It an 03 reeds looked great the boots are also good I clean them off when I took the carb off no cracks or anything. It also has all new gaskets ever were, and was just rebuilt with about 8-10 hours on the new top end.

WD40 will soften and swell rubber so i would suggest using that.  Carb clean or starting fluid.

A top end rebuild wont take care of crank seals.

Does the air screw on the carb change the idle at all?
