Fork Bleeders Leak Oil

I have a 2013 250F with aftermarket fork air bleeders.  When releasing air pressure, a small amount of oil (1/2 cc or so) is also released.  Is this normal?

Don't think so. Are you putting the bike on a stand before releasing the air? You should be.

my ONLY mechanical DNF in 14 years of racing was because i had a fork bleeder unscrew and come out during the race.

imagine trying to do 3ft deep sand whoops when 1 fork donesnt hold air and each compression stroke it trys to send a nice mist of oil up into your goggles.

you will learn to not use them.   great idea, too fragil to race with.

I get a dot of oil the size of a pin head and that takes hours of racing. My first experience with bleeders a looooong time ago once had a fountain of oil spewing on my chest and helmet during a 100 mile desert race. Not. A. Good. Time.

Thanks for the advice.

Yep ditch them and put the standard screws in.
