KX250 Winter Rebuild Project

Recommended Posts

So I saw the thread on GEOF rebuilding his KX80, and I figured since I'm doing a rebuild too ill make a thread for it. This is a picture of my 1998 KX250. I'm getting the frame, swingarm, and rims powdercoated black. I'm getting the wheel hubs powdercoated green. Other than that, I'm just replacing all the abused bearings and giving it a really good cleaning.

Yeah I would just j-b weld that broken one..good as new.

dude thats a sweet ladder truck.

That little antique? Yeah, my dads been a fire fighter for 25+ years. He collects a lot of that stuff. He has alot of the Code 3 model firetrucks in a display case. He takes them apart and airbrushes and stencils new logos on any broken one he can find. I think he intended to restore that one...it still works as a good toy.

I got a neat little dremel tool bit kit today with a couple mini wire brushes. I'm kind of irritated, they wore out pretty fast, but check this out. Unpolished and...kinda crappy job of polishing.
