Exhaust at night is glowing cherry red. Alarming. Not sure if this is normal. Bike runs flawlessly.
You need to rejet your carb. Its running lean. I'd stop riding till I fixed that
No or maybe, but not just because the thin wall exhaust header near the head is cherry red .. THAT is completely normal.
If it's running lean enough to cause damage, performance would be adversely effected....
Symptoms would be a high rpm misfire and severe surging..
low speed riding or standing idling provides minimal to no air flow past the header area, so heat dispersion is not happening...
