Could it be done by a TT'r

My street biker co-worker showed me an article about a guy in 1968 road a street bike from east-west coast in just over 45 hrs (fainted twice the article said). I was wondering if it could be done on a dirt bike? Obvious problems are travel on no roads, get across the Mississippi, etc.. Do ya think TT's would be up for the challenge logistically???? :)

I'm game. Man, that would be a mission.

That sounds like itd be pretty tight. Well Norcal I think you should probably get started, I think it migh ttake a while and can you imagine the case of monkey butt your gonna have :)

This guy has 3/4 of it laid out already... :)

A TT race! It ought to be a 'Cannonball Run' kinda thing. No rules, no classes; just a bunch of TTers cut loose at the same time and the first one to the other end wins. :D

When I first read your post I thought you said "Cannondale Run" and I thought to myself "Across the country! Man you'd be lucky to get accross the road on the C'dale." It made alot more sense the second time I read it.

No offense C'dale guys, thats just what popped into my head.

3/4? He's 1 state (N.C.) away from doing it! :D

Of course, we could train for it like the Czecs and East Germans used to...without seats. :)

I'll give it a try.... :thinking:Hmmmmmm

Gas tank might be too small... :thinking

They need a trail system that runs from pancake house to pancake house.

45 Hours? They do it on a bicycle in 7 days! It is called RAAM. Irvine Ca. to Savanah Ga. I say it should be around 30 hours on a bike!

Here's another cool one...
