Stuck half way through revolution

Recommended Posts

Hey all

I replaced the piston and rings in my girlfriends 70cc atomik. Put it all bak together and it cranks but just doesn't wanna start. When I turn the bike manually with a socket from the cam I guess, it gets stuck, it will push through with enough muscle but obviously is enough to stop the motor from doing a full revolution. What would cause this? Any help is appreciated thanks guys

Sounds like it's out of time. Recheck your valve timing. If that's the case and you turned the motor past the stuck point you probably bent a valve

If the timings right and you still have the problem , you might have put the wrong piston in with more dome giving you less piston to valve clearance. Just a thought
