450 Woes

I have an 03 CRF 450 that is ready for a top end refresh. Do any of you know about a set up using 04 piston with an 02 Cam. I have heard the Motard motors are running this combination and am looking for some confirmation.

Yes this works,this is the set up that I am running,works great with no problems,you might also want the 04 flywheel which is about 4.5 oz lighter,much less vibration and quicker rev and I don't experience stalling like you might think,no down side that I can see.cheers

Same setup works fine for me. I have a 9oz Steahly on mine.
