Yosh stuff

does anyone know of a website that shows all the product yoshimura has to offer for the drz400. The yosh_rd site sucks it only has kits. id like to look at the different exaust configurations they have and get prices.

thanks :) i stll can't decide if i should go with a full system or slip on. what aditional benifits does the header give? save a few ounces and gain 2%hp? or does it do more? most of the magic seams to be in the can.

The S model headpipe is 3mm smaller in diameter than the E/K. You are going to want to replace the headpipe to get the full benefit of the can.

Well, I bought the full system cause [1] it was available as barely used and well priced [2] I figure if yosh thought there wasn't any benefit over a slip on why would they even bother with full systems [3] My GOD it looks so cool!

I think the headpipe diameter is bigger than stock.

I hope someone with a real answer chimes in.

My $.02; the yoshi pipe I bought was the single biggest bang for the buck performance improvement I have made. I will rave about my autoclutch too, but the yoshi pipe is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get the full "E" system with it's larger headpipe. It looks the business and I have to believe the larger pipe makes a large difference. The stock S headpipe looks positively girlish next to the beefy Yosh E pipe :)

The combo of the Hotcam intake and the Yosh exhaust has the bike running super strong down low and through the mid. It has awesome power, I can honestly say I do not need more.

Of course, one always wants more, I but I would not go any faster on this particular bike with more power. It was so tame stock, but now I feel she is a match for my halfway decent skill level. Me and my DRZ. We are a wheelie prone, rock chuckin' rear end hangin' out havin' fun team out there :D

I can honestly say I do not need more.

:eek:WOW thats sayin alot

Only the stock S header is smaller...in the aftermarket the only difference between the E and S models is the bolt hole placement above the rightside footpeg...with that in mind, don't pass up a good deal on a pipe just because it is for the "other" model. If you have an S, all you need to do is slot the mount hole 1/8 inch on the subframe and you can mount any pipe to your bike. I am running an E pipe on my 2002 S. BURNED has done this same mod. 2 minutes and you are off and running... If you are buying new, go ahead and get the S model to make things easiest. :) Andrew

get the whole system!the S especially needs the whole thing.

A little eye candy to help prod you.

Get the big "E" pipe full system. Ya know ya want it :)

Thanks for posting that photo. That's what I'm talking about; look how beautifull the full system is! Exhaust porn!

I can't wait to do the hotcam intake. I gotta see how much more room I've got on the credit card!

yes thats a very seductive red x :)

There is nothing 'wrong' with the s headpipe. Smaller diameter headpipes have more bottom end, because the exhaust velocity is higher at lower revs.

Changing headpipe diameters just changes the flavor of the powerband.

that's what i thought but i wasn't confident enough to say it. i can see the eye candy now mmmm...(drool) :)

thats true in the case of the E head pipe versus the after marekt.the S head pipe is overly restrictive.get the whole system, you wont be disappointed.i promise!

Full system = SEXY!
