Changing front sprocket

Recommended Posts

I have an 81 XT250 and I'm changing the chain and sprockets.  I have been assured by the supplier that the sprockets they have sent me are correct but I can't see how the front sprocket will lock on as it doesn't have the 2 threaded holes for the locking plate to bolt on.  It just has one unthreaded hole.

Is there something I'm missing here?

Thanks for any info.

Matt

Maybe you should ask that supplier to come and correctly install the sprocket they sent you .

Your 'old' sprocket is OEM correct , with it's two threaded holes and required lock ring .

Your output shaft has no threads by which to secure the sprocket they sent you . At least the American version doesn't .

Obviously , they made a mistake , somewhere along the line .
